Protests took place in different areas of the city over the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC. The main demonstration took place at the Sadar Bazar Haj House Campus, led by Mufti-e-Malwa Maulana Nurul Haque Noori. Addressing the public, he said that the Citizenship Amendment Bill passed by the Center is a black law and the whole country is worried because it threatens indian tradition (Hindustani Tehzeeb).
He said that India is a great country, people of all religions have the right to live in it. In this country, Muslims have won freedom by fighting against the British. So such black law dividing the country will not be tolerated. After the address, SDM Rakesh Singh Sinha was handed the memorandum to the President in the presence of a large number of socialists, including Mufti Nurulhaq Noori Sahab, Hafiz Syed Ikhtiar Ali, Councilor Anwar Dastak, Councilor Anwar Qadri. The performance here was in a unique way. Which started with the "Tilawate Qur'an", and at the ended with "Sare jaha se achcha hindustan hamara"
