Demand for ransom in the name of the then Home Minister ; The court ordered to register offence against COPS

The court has ordered to file offences against all the then five cops of the crime branch of akola for demanding a ransom of Rs 10 lakh in the name of the then home minister of the state.

Abdul Asif the director of Vijay Transport operated in Washim Bypass area, had filed a complaint, saying that the then 5 LCB's COP who came to check his transport vehicles threatened to register a crime, demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh in the name of the Maharashtra's then Home Minister, with this his vehicles were also forcibly deposited in LCB's office 


In this matter copy of complaint had also sent to prime minister, transport minister, In this context the victim repeatedly demanded the concerned department to take action against the culprit, but no action was taken, being upset, the victim filed a petition in the court.


After hearing the arguments of both the parties, taking into account the circumstantial evidence, the court ordered to file offenses under various sections against involved COPS. Advocate Najeeb Sheikh argued on behalf of the petitioners
