Wednesday's market, convenience for city or cause of jam

Lakhimpur-Kheri district
Pawan Saxena / S.P.Tiwari
As you would know that on Wednesday, on Aliganj Road in Gola Gokarnanath, a market is put up by the shopkeepers, which are placed in front of the main shops due to which there is not only traffic jam, but also peoples movement gets affected significantly. Ajay Saxena and others from Gola Nagar have appealed to the collector, Lakhimpur Kheri, in connection with the encroachment on Aliganj Road, taking many points into consideration.
For example, in Aliganj Road Gola Gokarnanath, weekly shopkeepers charged by permanent shopkeepers from Rs 1000 to Rs 15,000 a week, encroaching on the road and blocking traffic by keeping shoppers on the road.Due to illegal encroachment, roadways buses take extra time of 1 hour to get out and the school girls have trouble in commuting, vehicles carrying grain in market faces trouble.
Doing the fear of accident from these vehicles at any time due to which the city dwellers are scared. Due to increase in traffic in our city due to the supply of sugarcane for the last several years, many deaths are happening every year in a road accident. Taking the above points seriously, taking immediate action to remove encroachment from Aliganj Road, making the accident free and setting up shopkeepers elsewhere, Ajay Kumar Saxena and other citizens of the city gave an application to District Magistrate Kheri Also complained on the Janasunwai portal.
