Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat has given instructions to conduct public awareness campaign in Bhopal by reviewing efforts being made for prevention and prevention of dengue and malaria. Silavat has asked to speed up door-to-door survey work in 22 dengue and malaria affected areas of Bhopal.
Minister Silavat directed that under public awareness campaign banners and posters should be placed at the main places of the city, dengue film should be displayed in the talkies. In private hospitals, strict action should be taken against complaints of over-charging patients for dengue screening and treatment. Collector Shri Tarun Pithode said during the review that 85 wards have been divided into 19 zones for dengue control in Bhopal. A control team has been formed for each zone, consisting of 10 to 12 officer-employees. Larvae control and fogging machines are regularly sprayed by these parties in their respective areas.

Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri B. Vijay Dutta informed that so far notice has been issued to the owners of 1134 vacant plots in Bhopal. A spot of about one and a half lakh rupees has been financed. 33 fogging machines are being used regularly by the Municipal Corporation. The control teams have surveyed larvae in more than 4 lakh 30 thousand houses, in which larvae have been found in about 30 thousand houses, which have been taken to destroy them.

It was informed in the meeting that there has been a decrease in dengue cases in the state as compared to last year. In the previous year 2018, 4,997 cases were registered in the state. In 2019, 2,915 cases have been reported till November 12 this year. 1384 cases of dengue have come to light in Bhopal district.

State Program Officer Dr. Himanshu Jaiswal informed that in the year 2019, 2 cases of dengue deaths (one district Indore and one district Bhopal) have been registered in the state.
