Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's decision in the interest of traders will get 75 percent rebate on interest and late fees

Jaipur Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, while taking a sensitive decision in the interest of the agricultural produce mandis traders of the state, has approved the proposal to implement the interest waiver scheme-2019 for redressal of their outstanding mandi fees and other funds.

Under this scheme, merchants will get 75 percent rebate in the basic interest amount and late fee on payment of outstanding mandi fees and other amount till 30 September 2019 by 31 March 2020.

It is worth mentioning that in case of arrears of mandi fees and other amount in the state, cases are pending at the mandi level and in courts. Recently, the market traders had requested the Chief Minister to start the interest waiver scheme after considering it sympathetically. On which Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal in this regard.

 The benefit of this scheme will also be given to such traders who have deposited the entire principal balance or part of it. But interest or late fee is still outstanding on them. However, the arrears from which the amount including interest has been recovered earlier They will not get the benefit of interest rebate.

To take advantage of the scheme, the arrears will have to withdraw the cases filed by them at any judicial level.
